Wes Bell's mishap with his milk truck on the bridge.

The story I've been told is that Wes was driving the route for his relative that normally had the milk run.

Wes didn't think the bridge would hold him but tried anyway. He was not seriously injured.

Here's a photo of Howard Road covered bridge taken by Anna Marie Daugherty.

It was on one of those stereoscope things and they found a place to get it made into a photo.

You may use it if you want..  from Suzanne Link Allen.

Kilbourne Bridge

Looking East from Kilbourne. From 1976 Bicentennial Day Program.

In 1851 the Railroad approached the Brown Township Trustees to purchase stock so that the railroad would pass through Eden and over into Kingston twp., Many of them purchased the stock. The foundations  were built in 1853 to cross Alum Creek then the railroad changed it's route to Ashley instead.

Below Old Rail Road Foundations South of Kilbourne off Hogback Rd.  Never used.
