Wes Bell's mishap with his milk truck on the bridge.
The story I've been told is that Wes was driving the route for his relative that normally had the milk run.
Wes didn't think the bridge would hold him but tried anyway. He was not seriously injured.

In 1851 the Railroad approached the Brown Township Trustees to purchase stock so that the railroad would pass through Eden and over into Kingston twp., Many of them purchased the stock. The foundations were built in 1853 to cross Alum Creek then the railroad changed it's route to Ashley instead.
