Helen McCLURE
Helen grew up with her mother and grandfather John Crew and his family near Waynesville, Ohio. When old enough she taught school in the area and Marion Smith tells me (2006) that it is still there. She often talked about her Uncle Joe Crew who was a fiddle player and everyone else from the old days. Helen was in her 60's when I was born and lived until 2 months short of being 100 years. She alway cared for Wellington and her daughter Miriam and after their deaths moved to Columbus to be near Pat & John and grandchildren. She was in her 90's when she broke her hip and then was in assisted living care. I bought my first video camera in 1985 and have some video of her 99th birthday.
