From Bath, Steuben Co., New York. Moved vetween 1830 & 1840 with parents to Thompson twp., Delaware Co., Ohio. Married Daniel Sheets in 1842 and began a large family.

1825 tax records lists: Yates Co., New York, Middlesex Twp. with two males and three females; 20 acres of improved farmland; 5 cows; 11 sheep; and 3 hogs; they had produced 10 yards of fulled woolen cloth, 17 yards of flannel and 25 yards of cotten or linen cloth.
