Her parents died when she was 10 years old and she lived with the Rebers family about 5 miles north of Amanda after the death of her father and mother.
The younger Davis Children lived with James Barr who applied for pension money and received it from Jos. P. Davis's service in the 43 OVI co. I.
Sallie in Amanda her whole life. I rememeber her well and visiting her as a child at her home. I was 8 years old when she died in 1861. Many of the photos for this family came from her estate. We have since found out many are from the Walker side of her family. However we do not have an identified photo of her mother Jemima.
