Members of the South Woodbury ME Church , Peru, Morrow,OH from 1853-1874 and maybe later. Elihu and Martha donated to the ministries every year between those date. Lived just West of South Woodbury on the Vernon Rd. Near Thomas Woods.


From Brown Thurston's genealogy book:
"He is a farmer in Kalida, Ohio, a member of the church called "New Light", a man of liberal views, and has written and published his faith in a pamphlet entitled, "How does the Blood of the Innocent Suffice for and Effect the Regeration of the Guilty." He built a church for those of his faith, and had it ready for occupancy in 1885. Mrs. Thurston is a cheerfl lady, member of the Methodist Church, and writes: "Our sons neither drink tea, coffee, whiskey, beer, nor smoke or chew tobacco; neither does their father nor myself."
