Obituary: Sarah Emma Thurston, daughter of Vinal Thurston was born in Oxford Twp. April 5, 1858 and died July 12, 1909, aged 51 yr 3 mo 7 da. She was united in marriage of George Roof April 13, 1879, and to this union were born four children, 2 sons and 2 daughters, whom with her husband and one granson, three brothers and three sisters survive her. In 1887 she united with Berkshire M. E. church. Delaware Gazette

Bershire. The funeral of Mrs Geo Roof last thursday was the largest in attendance for years. Interment was in Sunbury cemetery.

Sarah married George ROOF, son of Michael ROOF and Nancy A. RICHARDS, on 13 Apr 1879 in Berkshire, Delaware, Ohio, USA. (George ROOF was born on 7 Jan 1849 in Kingston, Delaware, Ohio, died on 5 Jul 1915 in Delaware Co., Ohio, United States and was buried in Sunbury Mem.Park, Sunbury, Delaware Co., Ohio.)
