Joseph W. Thurston, 93, retired farmer of Berlin township, Delaware county, died in his home Sunday night following an illness of several months. He was a native of Indiana, but resided in Delaware county many years. He was a charter member of the Utopian Grange in the community where he lived. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Amanda Thurston, four sons, J. Edward Thurston, and Frank A. Thurston of Marion, Ray Thurston of Irvington, Ala., and Harley Thurston of Johnstown, two step-sons, three stepdaughters, 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. ..........Berlin Presbyterian.......Burial at Cheshire cemetery near the church.
