LUCIUS V. TUTTLE Taken prisoner at Cross Lanes; nine months in the enemy's hands, at Richmond, Tuscaloosa, and Salisbury; exchanged; discharged, July 31, 1862.
Lucius V. Tuttle, M. A. Prof. Tuttle graduated in 1870; and was appointed to a tutor-ship in languages. In this position he served for three years; when he was promoted to an adjunct professorship in Ancient Languages. In 1874, he was called to the principalship of the Friends Academy, in connection with the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, which position he still holds.
