bullet  General Notes:

Uncle Wellington or Unc as everyone called him had polio as a child and always lived with Helen & John E. Smith, after his mother died. Even though he had lived with his disability he always had a positive disposition and we joked about my getting a hair cut every month when I saw him, when I was a child and he would just laugh. He had his own special chair and cushion that was worn beyond use, that he sat in. Every Saturday night watching Lawrence Welk and eating potato chips and Pepsi. ( Good memories ).

In looking at the records I'm not sure if Wellington is the son of John Levi. Mattie and Frank were divorced in January of 1891. John Levi was married to Mattie in June 1891 and Wellington was born in July 1891. Grandma always refered to to Wellington as a half brother, but was he.
