At Maple Grove Cem. Findlay,Ohio Ludwell W. Nichols is buried in------L-98 he has 2 stones one was placed probably shortly after he died as it reads, "Capt. L. W. Nichols, Co.B 88 Ohio Inf. The second stone reads Ludwell W Nichols etc., next to it is the stone of his Wife Mary Ellen, and then the stone of his daughter Kitty G. Nichols, also buried on the lot is his daughter Maude A Nelson, and granddaughter Florence May 'Flossie' Held, they have no stones. Maude and her daughter Florence were buried else where in the cemetry in 1910 then later moved to the same lot as Ludwell W Nichols.

Findlay, Ohio News Paper of 24 Feb. 1916 carried a small item about his death on page 5 near the bottom of the paper, did not make a copy of it.
Findlay Weekly Jefferson, published Findlay, Ohio 24 Feb. 1916 page 4 is a large obit that gives his full birth date,place and parents names, also mention his daughter Kittie that works at the Hancock Co. Treasurer's Office
