Amy BRADFIELD

  General Notes:

Amy inherited from her fathers estate as a daughter, not as a daughter inlaw. Some source say she was never married. No one can seem to find her husband John Bradfield, but the Knox Co. Ohio history books list her husband as John Bradfield--some times records for Bradfield will have Bradford--

Seems that some researchers say in the records of Tavenner Records there is a oblique reference that she was either married or had a relationship with someone by the surname of Gregg.( She could have run away from her husband and then went back to using the surname of Bradfield.)

When I get back to Ohio as I live in Knox Co. I will check this out, as I have seen a small write up in the History book of Knox Co. Ohio about these Bradfield and always felt they connected but never knew how.Now I know. I have check all the records in Knox Co.Ohio that I can think of to check---but I can't find Amy Bradfield husband either. Amy's sister Charlotte Bradfield James named one of her daughters Amy Elizabeth James born in 1828----now if Amy had children out of wed lock I just can't think that Charlotte would have named a child of hers Amy as this family would not stand still for that and would go to great links to cover up children born out of wed lock-----------Some researchers do not list a husband for this Amy Bradfield born 1788------but I feel someone someplace will turn up something someday on this Mystery of this Amy Bradfield's husband (mar.2000)

Amy married John BRADFIELD in Unknown. (John BRADFIELD was born in Unknown and died in 1820 in Loudoun, Virginia, USA.)
