May have been of the Quaker faith and prob. belonged to the Goose Creek Meeting in Loudoun Co. Va. But do not find him in the Henshaw records. I do not know if they lived in the area where married but the dau. Charlotte states in Morrow Co. Ohio Census that she was born there. plus Charlotte was married to David James in Maryland, but Leeburg,Va not far from the Maryland State line, people went to Maryland to get married as there was no waiting period.

Ref. on the rest of the children-birth and death dates and places from Jody Thomson, and Gerri Buss.

In James Bradfield estate settlement all the children were named, plus the grandchilden of 2 decs. daughters-Miranda and Hannah. ref. to dau. Amy---there was no husband mentioned for her---so that seems to be a Mystery as to her husband--Knox Co. Ohio history states it was John Bradfield. Bradfield researchers can not find her husband, but the history book states he died in 1820 --that was before James died.

In the History of Morrow, Delaware and Union Co. Ohio Charlotte Bradfield James-son Rev. Ludwell Wheeler James states his mother (Charlotte) was raised Quaker. But no one seems to be able to find this family of James and Ruth Wheeler Bradfield listed in the Quaker records.

His son William W Bradfield in 1829-30 was living in Belmont Co. Ohio and Miranda's husband was living there also. Belmont Co. Ohio would be where most people coming up from Virginia would cross the Ohio River. William W Bradfield later went to Walbash, Ind.

Among the Bradfield children the repeated given names seem to be,Ruth,Charlotte, Miranda, Amy, Amanda, Morimer, James and William, do not know if these names will show up in the WHEELER line or not ?

James married Ruth WHEELER on 24 Jan 1782 in Recorded Balmore, Maryland. (Ruth WHEELER was born about 1760 in Maybe ? Maryland and died before 1820 in Prob. Area Of Loudoun Co. Virginia, Or Maryland.)
