He retired from the City of Columbus Division of Electricity and was a U.S. WWII Army Veteran and recipient of a Purple Heart serving in the 96th Infantry Division the "Deadeyes". He is preceded in death by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters, and wife Aileen.
