BIOGRAPHY: 1830-32 John and Rachel moved from Hawkins Co. Tn to Union County, Ohio. Possibly with Jacob an Elizabeth Hutchisson Felkner. 6 Oct 1837 John and Rachel joined Little Millcreek Presbyterian Church by letter of transfer.
BIOGRAPHY: 22 Oct 1843 to 14 May 1844 John's controversy about Slavery with Henry Shedd, Moderarator and the session of Little Millcreek Presb. Church. He abstains from church.
BIOGRAPHY: 1860 Rachel and others (Joseph Turney, Benjamin and Elizabeth Turney, and John H.P. Bouic) organize Providence Presb. Church. Churches reunited as Ostrander Presb., Church in 1870.
