Mary Belle Clay was an invalid her whole life suffering from "water on the brain".. She did make trips to Texas in a small camping trailer which is in many pictures that Glenn took. John Clay made a trip with them to Texas in 1930's. When she died in Texas in 1939 she was cremated and the ashes buried with Francis in 1959 at Green Mound cemetery.
