Charles Howards birth date is always in question between 1843 & 1845. His death certificate states 1845 but his tombstone has 1843. The 1850 census has him at 5 years of age but then it seems to change from census to census.
With his mother death in July of 1845 and his birth in June of 1845 I assume she possibly died from complications of giving birth.

Stayed in New York with grandparents Father & new spouse went to Michigan
