BIOGRAPHY: OBIT: Dec 12, 1920 Daily Herald Delaware County - Bertha M. Doty, daughter of John & Nicy Doty was born at South Woodbury, Ohio, Jan. 31st, 1858. Died Nov. 27th (1920) at the home of her sister Mrs. D.H. Wolff. She was afflicted with paralysis for three years always bearing her suffering with Christian patience expressing thankfulness to those kind friends who were sp faithful in their ministration. She was a member of the Ashley ME Church having embraced the Christian faith in early girl-hood to which she was faithful unto the end of this mortal life. She leaves to mourn her loss three sisters Mrs. Frank Osborn of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Ed Baily of Marengo and Mrs. Dan Wolff of Waterhill also nephews and nieces and more distant relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at Ashley M.E. Church, Monday afternoon, Nov. 29. Rev. R F Whitehurst in charge assisted by Rev. Bowerman of Alum Creek. The body was laid to rest in the Ashley mausoleum.
She was a dress maker and lived at home and then with Frank and Della Osborn until they moved then with sister Artie Wolff.
