  General Notes:

She had been married before to a Mr. Thomas and had 2 children byThomas, but have never seen anything written about the 2 children. In theMaryland marriage index there is a Elizabeth Grove married to a Griffith Thomas 10 Oct. 1793 recorded in Frederick Co. Maryland. Have no way of knowing if this is our Elizabeth Grove /Groves. Elizabeth married the Old Scottsman John Gardner about 1801.

The Morrow Co. Ohio History book states that her parents are buried at Hagerstown, Maryland.
Had a sister Mary Ann Grove or Groves. Also a possible brotherJoseph Groves see notes on 1st husband Griffith Thomas.

After seeing the will of Griffith Thomas and that John Gardner was mentioned I really feel that what Connie and Pete Bradish of Cocoa,Florida found is our Elizabeth Groves Thomas Gardner.

Elizabeth married Griffith THOMAS on 10 Oct 1793 in Frederick Co., Maryland. (Griffith THOMAS was born about 1742 in ? Loudoun Co. VA. and died before Dec 1800 in Loudoun, Virginia, USA.)

Elizabeth next married John GARDNER about 1801 in D C Or VA. (John GARDNER was born on 5 Aug 1757 in Paisley, Scotland, died on 6 Mar 1836 in Morrow Co., Ohio and was buried in Ebenezer Cem, Lincoln, Morrow, Ohio.)
