BIOGRAPHY: Phebe (Durand) Clay died around 1811 probably shortly after the birth of her daughter Phebe. She may have been buried at the old graveyard at the Presbyterian church which was sold in 1813 and the graves removed. There are also many old cemeteries around Cazenovia which have no stones.
Her children with Thomas Clay seem to all be named from relatives from the Durand Family. Elijah D(urand?) for her father, Ira from cousins and John and Phebe from grandfather and self.

Buried at Chittenango Falls Cemetery is a Durand D. Fisher b.1824 died May 19, 1849. (I don't know if he has any relationship to the Durand Family. possibly a son of a female relative of Phebes.
