Marguerite Benedict, age 78 of Ashley, died at her home on Monday evening December 6, 2004.
She was born on Feb. 21, 1926 in Hyatts to the late Arthur and Florence (Johnston) Covrett. A graduate of Hyatts High School Class of 1946, she was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. Gentle in nature, she was a farm wife and homemaker. A member of the former Women Knights of Pythias in Waldo and Delaware County Farm Bureau, she collected salt and pepper shakers, and enjoyed flower gardening, especially raising tulips.
Survived by Son and Daughter-in-law: Harry and Shirley Benedict of Ashley, Daughter and son-in-law: Kathy and Lowell Morrow of Delaware, 2 Grandsons: Charles F. (Amanda) and Bryan M., she was proud of her Great-granddaughter: Caitlin, also survived by Brothers: Harold (Margaret), Norman (Phyllis), Russell Covrett all of Delaware, Sisters: Janet Jackson of Delaware, Carol (Ed) Pharris of Pensacola, FL., nieces, nephews, and longtime family friend: Terry Snyder.
Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years: Charles S. Benedict on Feb. 8, 2003, Brother: Melvin, Sisters: Millie Levings, Delores Kroninger, and Sandra Covrett.
