bullet  General Notes:

From Margaret and Marie Bouic

"Guy Blain, born October 25, 1887, was the second son of Benjamin & Ida Ferguson Blain. He was born in Delaware County and spent his boyhood here.
As a young man he traveled and worked in many parts of the West and then followed the wheat harvest north from Kansas into Canada where he homesteaded near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He lived in Canada 10 years and during this time met and married Miss Nellie Lane, the school teacher in the new settlement, who had come with her family form Kent, England.
Daughters Grace and Blanche were born in Canada before the family returned to Delaware County in 1921. Another daughter, Dorothy and a son James, were born here. He lived in Kilbourne the rest of his life where his wife died in September, 1945.
In 1947, Guy married Mrs. Dasie Whitley who was a family friend and neighbor during the Canadian homestead days.
He is survived by his wife Sadie, the four children, nine grandchildren, and five step-children. Two brothers, Ray of Ashley and Henry of Kilbourne, and a sister, Mrs. Fanny Ferko of Kilbourne also survive. Buried Green Mound Cem., Kilbourne
