He married third 30 November 1882, Springfield, Clark Co., Ohio Alice Evangeline Myers (1845-1932) daughter of Mrs. S. J. Myers (I'm not sure if the initials are for mother or for father). She was a talented young lady of Springfield, Ohio. They later divorced and Alice married Morrow Co., Ohio 14 April 1894 John's cousin Nelson Van Sickle as Nelson's second wife. Alice was a famous newspaper woman. She is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Cardington, Morrow Co., Ohio. It is noted she had a sister Mrs. H. C. Clark who died March 1905.
