After Polly's first husband died she later married Thomas Clay prior to Oct. 9, 1813. Together the had one daughter Mary in 1814. They are both buried in the Chittenango Falls Village Cemetery. When you go up the stairs directly on right first row is Thomas Clay (Stone is down) footer TC. , To the right of him is Polly (Stone is broken but can be read & footer PC. To the right of her is Phebe wife of S.B. Howard and daughter of Thomas Clay and Phebe(Durand) Clay (Stone is also broken and down).

Entry for James Jones and Sally Jones, minors, Cazenovia names Lemuel Hall as guardian, Letters Bond dated 9 Oct 1813 for $1000. " To surrogate of Madison County: The petition of Polly Clay, formerly Polly Jones, mother of Sally Jones and James Jones respectfully represents that Sally and James are infants and according to the bestof her knowledge and belief ... are entitled to certain personal property in the county of Onondaga." Lemuel Hall of Manlius, Onondaga, to be appointed guardian to Sally and James until they reach the age of fourteen. It is signed in Cazenovia on 9 October 1813 by Polly Clay. It adds " Personally appeared before me Thomas Clay who says Sally Jones was thirteen on the 12 day of August last and that James was nine years of age on 5th of April last.
