Joseph Shaw, was one of the pioneers of this county, and was born in Berks Co., Penn., Aug. 18, 1792, and married Hannah De Witt, who was born in Pennsylvania, in 1800; she came to Waldo, Ohio, with relatives, when a small girl. From this union there were eleven children. Joseph Shaw died (where he had settled sixty-eight years before), May 4, 1876.
Joseph married Hannah DEWITT. (Hannah DEWITT was born on 15 Jan 1800, died on 30 Apr 1867 in Morrow Co., Ohio and was buried in Shawtown Cem., Westfield, Morrow Co., Ohio.)
