Reverand William M. Davis June 28,1878 - October 13, 1936

In the mid-afternoon of life, at the age of 58 years, our brother, William M. Davis, of commanding and impressive body and spirt, passed home to be with his Lord, all to soon to the minds of his brethen in the ministry. But those years were filled with great and varied services for his Lord and the church. Left as orphan at the early age of three, he was deprived of the blessings of a home where brothers and sisters could share the joys and counsels of parental instruction and upbrining. When but sixteen years of age he was converted under the labors of the sainted Reverend William S. Harpster, at Lancaster, and soon there after felt the holy urge to service to which he gave his life.

Birth Date from Joseph P. Davis's Pension Records, lived with James C. Barr after death of parents
