OBIT: Obit: Earl Gaylord Dead in East Former Columbus Resident Succumbs at Home in Philadephia. Earl Gaylord 42, former resident of Burgess-av and Sunbury, died suddenly Tuesday at his home in Philadephia, according to word received by Ellsworth Heriocker, 190 13th-av.Details concerning the cause of death were not received. Details concerning the cause of death were not received. Mr. Gaylord left Columbus 10 years ago. He was in the government service and was chief inspector of food and markets in the Philadelphia district. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Watts Gaylord; a son Charles 12, and two brothers, Henry C. Gaylord, engineer, 373-Sullivant-av, and another in the west. Body will be taken to Sunbury Saturday and can be viewed until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home of A.D. Stroanider. Short services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the grave in Galena Cemetery.
BIOGRAPHY: After the death of his mother Earl went to live with his grandmother Lydia Fleming in Eden.. He then was living with his father in Sunbury at the time of the 1900 Census.
